Raw material

Paper material: The quality and type of wood pulp paper have a great influence on the heat resistance of paper cups. Paper with a high proportion of long-fiber wood pulp has tightly interwoven fibers, good structural strength, and better heat resistance. Paper cups with a high content of coniferous wood pulp can better maintain their shape at high temperatures. If there are many impurities in the wood pulp and a high content of short fibers, the paper cup is easy to deform when heated.

Laminating material

The laminating film on the inside of the paper cup is generally PE film or other thermoplastic resin. High-quality PE film has good heat resistance. For example, if a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) laminating film is used, the heat resistance temperature can reach about 110°C. If the laminating film thickness is uneven and the material is impure, it is easy to melt locally and leak when exposed to heat.

Production process

All our products are produced and sold with high-quality raw paper.

Paper processing technology: The pulping and papermaking processes of paper affect its performance. The appropriate pulping degree, sufficient fiber separation and brooming, and good paper strength and heat resistance. During the papermaking process, if the paper quantity is uneven and the thickness is inconsistent, local weak points are prone to appear when heated, resulting in deformation. 

Laminating process

The PE laminating film used on the inner wall of the paper cup has a good waterproof effect

The laminating temperature, speed and other process parameters must be precisely controlled. If the temperature is too high, the PE film may overheat and age, affecting the heat resistance; if the temperature is too low, the film and paper are not firmly bonded, and it is easy to delaminate when heated. If the laminating speed is too fast, the film thickness is uneven; if the speed is too slow, the production efficiency is low and the laminating may be too thick, affecting the flexibility and heat resistance of the paper cup.

Printing process

Our products are printed with food-grade bio-ink.

In paper cup printing, the quality and dryness of the ink affect the heat resistance. Inferior ink has poor heat resistance and may volatilize harmful substances or cause uneven heating of paper cups. Insufficient ink drying may cause adhesion and discoloration at high temperatures, reducing the overall performance of paper cups.
